NVLF Labor Solidarity Walk in CD10
w/ Candidate Josh Harder
Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 11AM-4PM
(Canvass App Training at 10:30AM)
417 7th St., Modesto, CA (NVLF Office)
As you know our best chance to fight the anti-labor Trump agenda is to take back to House. In the North Valley, we are uniquely positioned to do our part by replacing Rep. Jeff Denham, who has voted with Trump's position 97.5% of the time. This includes voting to roll back labor laws, to take away health care from 23 milllion Americans, and to give away billions to the richest corporations and CEOs.
Now, it's time for us to fight back. After winning the primary, labor-endorsed candidate Josh Harder is taking the fight to Denham, and we're going to help. This is going to be an all-out battle, with millions of dollars coming in on both sides. But we know what really matters -- face-to-face conversations -- and that's what we do best.
We'll have special guest speakers and a team of volunteers that are fired up to do our part in taking back our country. We'll have plenty of snacks to fuel up and a delicious meal and camaraderie ready for canvassers when we return!

North Valley Labor Federation – Upcoming Events
On Saturday, June 30 at 11:00 AM, Modesto will rally to oppose the separation of children from their parents/legal guardians along the U.S. border with Mexico, at other ports of entry into the U.S., and in our very own communities. We protest the conditions in which these children are kept and call for a change to policies that cause irreversible trauma. We stand together to call for and work toward an end to family separation.
The March will begin at the Lucas Statue outside Ralston Tower (across the street from Denny's) at the corner of 17th and J Street in Downtown Modesto. It will end at 10th Street Plaza in front of Modesto City Hall where we will have speakers to discuss what we can do to continue to resist this oppressive and inhumane policy.
The North Valley Labor Federation is a partnership of local unions and union members in the North San Joaquin Valley. Encompassing six counties, three Central Labor Councils and over 75 local unions, the NVLF is charged with coordinating the efforts of local unions do build power for working families.
